In college, my major is communication and focuses on new media. I had some case studies on marketing strategy and management. Also, I had some internship experiences during the summer break. I worked at Henan Television in economic broadcasting. I participated in the overall process of producing and editing television programs and other photo and video editing. Then I had an internship at Mercedes-Benz. I really appreciate that experience; I assisted in analyzing competitive products and manage its social media accounts, such as Weibo and WeChat. It is very fascinating to post pictures and articles on the official accounts and see how the audience responds and responds. In the future, I plan to get a job in a media company, such as iQIYI, Tik Tok, or Kuai. I will focus on marketing, promotion, and advertising.

Besides, I also want to work in gaming. I took some video game courses as well, which introduce the history, mechanism, and design. I also had a design minor. One of my projects is to design a board game that’s a really impressive and exciting assignment. This project arouses my interest in game design. Except for learning game theories and concepts, I have real-life experience in gaming. I am a game blogger and have been operating an online blog account. I wrote every detailed explanation in teaching gaming techniques and transforming them into a video. With a communication degree background, my second option is to get a job that combines game and communication, such as game business management. It primarily creates and designs activities that attract users and stimulate the profit growth of online consumption through marketing methods, including early game promotion and later customer maintenance. Therefore, it’s essential to understand players and the on-going trend. As I did in the 505 course this semester, my project focuses on an online romantic relationship in video games. I worked through players’ motivation in the game and their attitudes toward online romantic relationships. I believe this is an excellent way to know players’ preferences in games and help game design and marketing.
