Victoria Gomes-Boronat

Victoria Gomes-Boronat is a full-time graduate student at Georgetown University and an Associate Consultant at Original Strategies. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a dual degree in Psychology and Broadcast Journalism. She has a passion for Behavioral Psychology and is always trying to find innovative ways to use technology to help others form healthy relationships and communities. Qi Wang

Qi Wang, an international student from China, studies CCT program at Georgetown University. She went to college at Ohio State University and majored in Communication and Design. Qi wants to focus on social media marketing or gaming in the future. She worked in Mercedes Benz on integrated marketing. Qi is also a big fan of video games, and she is a game blogger on Sina Weibo. Danae Theocharaki

Danae Theocharaki is an international grad student from Greece, at Georgetown University’s CCT program in Washington D.C. Her interests are focused on daily implementations and uses of AI and Human-Computer Interaction as cultural and societal forces ultimately impact our digital presence. She graduated from Davidson College studying Anthropology and Digital Studies with a passion for East Asian Studies, where she also developed anti-spyware gadgets and wrote her thesis on serial killers! Branding explanation

  • The theme we choose is Neve; the reason we decide on this theme is Neve is supposed to display a product. This project is also showing and exploring a product. We choose the Twitch Purple as a dominant color to better consistent with the brand. Each page has a similarly styled header with our emotes on it. We didn’t design the website logo; we put the Twitch logo on the website because it gives audiences direct instruction about the website.
  • The video is using pixel style, and the main character in the video is Super Mario. As we all know, Twitch, in the very beginning, is a platform for video game streaming. So the super Mario (pixel version) represents the initial goal. The font here is using a game font to match the video style.
  • The emotes are created by Vicky; they are made based on our team member photos. Each of us shows a different category in Twitch. Nick is a Tech person, Vicky is an artist who also loves food (mukbang, also known as an eating show, is popular on Twitch), Danae is a gamer, Qi is a musician.
